Photography Guidelines on Campus
Thanks to the beautiful grounds and historic buildings, Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø is a favorite spot for photographers.
Personal Photography
If you are taking personal photos, feel free to use our campus — but please recognize and defer to Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø students, staff and faculty and follow the guidelines listed below.
Professional Photographers
If you are using our campus for senior, family, engagement or wedding photography, you are welcome to use our space without a reservation.
If you wish to use our space for marketing or commercial purposes, space must be reserved and the use approved ahead of time through the Events and Conferences Office. Requests should be made at least five business days in advance by calling 616.395.7222.
Photography Guidelines
The following guidelines must be adhered to by all photographers and clients:
- Photography shoots should not interfere with the college’s educational functions or
disrupt student life or day-to-day operations. - Buildings — including the interior, porches, patios and entryways — may not be used unless you have received written approval in advance from the Events and Conferences Office (616.395.7222).
- Sidewalks may not be blocked at any time for any reason.
- Campus signage may not be included in pictures.
- The President’s House serves as a private residence and its grounds are not to be used as a location for photography.
- Photographers and their clients should defer to Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø students, faculty, staff and invited guests.
- Please do not tag Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø on social media when posting photos from shoots.
- Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø is an alcohol-free and smoke-free campus. Photographers are responsible for ensuring that their clients follow these rules on campus.
- Photographers may only use models and take photos that respect Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø’s role as a Christian institution of learning. Under no circumstances may the photography involve nudity, swimwear or revealing clothing.
- Photographers should leave campus as they found it. Please dispose of any trash and clean up areas used.
